In Your City

poem

In the city of hope,
You turn on the lights
When you wake up.
To look at your egg,
To look,
And wonder,
To be or not to be,
Boiled.

In the city of hope,
Love is a commodity,
Traded from Penny to
Blue.

Elegant attire required.
Perfumed.

In the city of hope,
You need a raincoat.
Passing your soul mate,
In a hurry,
Like you are late for work,
For a work meeting,
Meant to perfect nothing.

In the city of hope,
You are the resident
Who turns off the light
At night.

In the city of hope.
